Social Media and Content Creator

We're a bespoke digital marketing and creative agency based at Waihi Beach. We work with some great brands, particularly in the construction and trade space, and our social team is growing.

We're looking for a content creator who knows social inside out - someone who can pick up a camera, cut a reel that stops the scroll, and walk into a planning session with a list of ideas.

What you'll be doing

• Filming social-first content for our clients, including working alongside our Creative Director as a second shooter
• Editing reels and short-form video that feel native to each platform
• Coming up with content ideas that fit our clients' strategies and content pillars
• Keeping across trends, formats and trending audio - and knowing what will work for each brand
• Designing on-brand graphics and carousels with our Senior Designer
• Getting in front of the camera when the content calls for it

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in social media, ideally in an agency environment (in-house or managing your own brand or clients also counts)
• Confident filming social-first content, on a phone or camera
• Strong editing skills for reels and short-form video (e.g. CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar)
• Basic design skills (e.g. Canva, Adobe Express or Adobe Creative Suite) and a strong eye for aesthetics and brand consistency
• Up to date with platform trends, formats and what's working right now
• Happy to be on camera and genuinely obsessed with content - you've always got an idea up your sleeve
• Able to work from our Waihi Beach office, with some flexibility to work remotely

Bonus points if you've created content for trades, construction or property brands.

This role is part-time initially, with flexible hours and scope to grow. The role is based in our Waihi Beach office, with flexibility to work partially remote, as part of a small, creative team where your ideas make a difference.
